Men's Therapist In Surrey

Jonny Holden is a licensed therapist for men feeling stuck and wanting to make a change.

My Services

Whether you require one to one session or want to join a short group programme, I have
different options to help you as best I can.
I give you a place to really work through the issues bringing you to therapy at your pace and what you’re comfortable with. I am a trained integrative therapist which basically means I use what’s best for you because thereis no one size fits all.

One to One sessions

If you’re feeling stuck mentally or emotionally, then one to one therapy offers you the privacy to work through this.
I work holistically, taking into consideration everything about you, not just your mind, with an intrinsic understanding of how men are wired. I offer long, medium, and short-term therapy based on your needs.

As a man, I’ve been through much of this myself and offer lived experience, not just professional expertise.

My process is in three parts:

  • Awareness – Understanding the issue

  • Acceptance – not living in denial of where you’re at

  • Action – putting things in place to instil lasting change

Mental Fitness Training

A 4-week CPD programme that will give you a mental fitness toolkit. It isn’t one to one therapy, but a programme led by me to open discussions and gain insights to handling your mental health effectively.

The programme covers:

  • Anxiety

  • Resilience

  • Perfectionism

  • Healthy Relationships

Feedback from the training:"I finally realised everyone has experienced similar things, so I'm not alone.""I appreciated that the content was interactive, relevant, and evidence based.""I would recommend this training to anyone looking for meaningful and compassionate training."

Keynote Speaking

As a therapist, I am passionate about seeing men fulfil their potential, and part of how I do that is through speaking at events. With well over 1,000 hours speaking on stages, I offer experience, passionate, and constant up to date research and data in the field. My topics include:Male Suicide
Pornography Addiction
The Importance of Your Body
If you’d like me to speak at your event or workplace, please get in touch for inquiries.

“He is a gifted speaker who is refreshingly honest, engages his audience and spoke on a potentially shameful topic with integrity.”

“Jonny is a passionate speaker with a huge amount of knowledge and experience on offer – I’ll be keeping what I learned from him for a long time yet.”

"Change begins when you stop avoiding the parts of yourself that hurt."

About Jonny Holden

I first became a psychotherapist after reading about the male suicide rates in the UK and wanting to make a small difference.
This passion to help men hasn’t changed and giving you somewhere to confidentially explore the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours you may have about yourself and life, however taboo you might think they are, is my greatest privilege.
Although I can help you in many ways my specialist areas of interest and expertise are:Anxiety
Trauma
Addiction
Depression
Low Self Esteem
Setting boundaries
Reaching your potential
Becoming more present and focused
Having over 5 years of training through CPCAB and Middlesex University I come with a wealth of high-level education in the mental health space.
Outside of work I am sport obsessed from rugby, running, football, cricket, cycling and just about anything to be honest. I love good coffee and any music by Bon Iver.

  • MA / Postgraduate diploma - Middlesex

Frequently Asked Questions

Still got questions? Here are some of the most common things I get asked, but get in touch if there's something not covered below.

Does therapy work?

It must be noted that therapy is not a quick fix but a process for long lasting change over time with research showing that if the client is willing to engage, it has significant psychological benefits. This is the case for both online and in person therapy.

How does it work?

Integrative Psychotherapy is a talk therapy that uses a thoroughly well
thought therapy using different theories and methods to help you. There is no one-size-fits-all, so Integrative Psychotherapy offers different ways of working to get you the best possible outcomes.

How much does it cost?

My costs are discussed on your consultation call once we see if we are a good fit for working together.

Where and when do you offer sessions?

I work Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. I work predominantly online as well as rooms in Godalming and Cranleigh.

How many sessions do I need?

This is totally dependent on your needs and how long you may need to work through them. You may need 12 sessions or you may need 2 years of sessions. It’s entirely dependent on your needs.

Are the sessions confidential?

All our sessions are entirely confidential which is in line with best practice and the governing bodies I am associated with.
